After a very successful five-week promotion of the properties due to go to auction tomorrow O’Donnellan and Joyce foresee a huge turnout and a successful conclusion to the auction. In all, eight properties will go under the hammer, originally there were nine, but the property at 124 Dangan Heights was sold prior to auction when a substantial offer was made within the first three weeks of the campaign and the owners made the decision to accept it.

O’Donnellan & Joyce marches forward with its second large auction of the season

On Friday September 30 the Victoria Hotel was bursting at the seams when O’Donnellan & Joyce launched its winter auctions with 15 properties going under the hammer on the first of three big auctions. So big was the crowd that O’Donnellan & Joyce had a second large screen set up in the bar area of the hotel where potential purchasers and clients could see the live auction and follow each property as it was being auctioned off by auctioneer Colm O’Donnellan. On that day 10 of the 15 properties sold under the hammer, with four of the remaining properties selling after the auction.

O’Donnellan and Joyce concluded the last auction of the summer when it brought down the auctioneer’s gavel for the last time and successfully sold six properties by auction in the Victoria Hotel, Eyre Square, Galway. Anne Harding, the auction co-ordinator for O’Donnellan and Joyce outlined that the July auctions brought an accumulative of sales of properties in excess of €5 million, which is the highest level of sales recorded by any independent Irish auctioneering company in selling properties by public auction.
